About Haunted Arkansas
OUR HISTORY
Haunted Arkansas Tours started in 2012 when Paul Prater took over a ghost tour that his friend, Edward Underwood, had started in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Jump forward to 2017 and Paul was living in North Little Rock. He started researching the history of Argenta and found many stories of its spooky and troubled past.
Paul knew that he could recreate the Jonesboro experience in Argenta, where he lives. With the help of the Argenta History Commission, it didn't take long to collect the stories and the history and put it all together into an entertaining and educational tour.
We work with local government and businesses to create a symbiotic partnership to bring more awareness and money to the area and this is the cornerstone of our business practice.
HAUNTED WALKING GHOST TOURS
These one and a half hour walking ghost tour will tell the stories of the town's history from the time of its founding through the rebirth and revival. Why do some think it is haunted?
You will learn about the original buildings, most of which still stand, the stories connected to those buildings and the inhabitants, some of whom never left.
You will visit the locations where the history was made. We can't guarantee you will see a ghost, but we have some pretty interesting photographs that people have captured and even a reportedly haunted artifact.
BOOS AND BREWS
Boos and Brews has been a resounding success so we are keeping this party rolling! This is the walking tour but with a twist.
We will look at the more lascivious side of your town! We will be going into two of the haunted locations and doing some seance work in the style of Victorian seance mediums. Maybe something or someone will join us?
This two hour ghost tour focuses more or the vices and murder. Many of the stories are different from those told on the standard tour. Due to the nature of the stories, and because we go into bars, this tour is strictly 21+.
PRIVATE TOURS
We LOVE private tours. We are willing to do them year-round. We charge a flat rate for a private tour and would love to talk to you about your group and doing a tour just for them!
If just history is more your thing, we can handle that for you as well. We are history experts and would love to share with you.
